My name is Tanya Heidrich, also known as Stillo Noir, and I’m an artist, muralist and designer specializing in black & white patterns. By combining design thinking with artistic expression, I create modern monochromatic artworks that add vibrance and personality to interior and exterior spaces.
I have a wide variety of monochromatic patterns available for licensing to use for wallpaper, vinyl graphics, and wallcoverings. The designs suit a range of purposes, from complementing a quieter mood with a light and discrete touch, to acting as bold, vibrant statement pieces that can bring any space to life. In addition, I can create bespoke designs that reflect a particular theme, brand, atmosphere or topic.
Hand lettering bespoke black and white words or sentences. The words play with a pattern – either integrated within the letters or surrounding them – through a design that further evokes the lettering's feeling and/or meaning. The hand-lettering can be drawn live for an event, as a commission for a space, or for commercial use (such as for a brand, campaign or product).
The design, development and installation of a custom black and white mural. This includes mockups, a variety of options to choose from, and a hand-painted mural custom-made for a specific space, environment and audience (be it indoors or outdoors). I offer a wide variety of designs that suit a range of purposes, from complementing a quieter mood with a light and discrete touch, to acting as bold, vibrant statement pieces that can bring any space to life.
Painting a bespoke black and white design – either live for an event or as a commission for a space. I develop designs inspired by the subtle details of our surroundings, extracting those details and playing with them through texture and linework to create a result that is maximalist with a minimalist affinity. Paintings range from being commissioned around a specific theme (such as food, microbiology, water, forests), to total abstraction (prioritizing the mood and feeling they evoke).
The development of black and white illustrations with a handmade, graphic quality. Illustration categories include pattern design, portraiture, botanical, food and lettering.
Drawing and painting live for events and entertainment. I can work large scale to create monochromatic murals, or small scale to produce bespoke paintings, illustrations, patterns and product customizations.
Creation of bespoke designs on products, such as apparel and accessories. These can be done live as part of an event, or ahead of time as part of a campaign limited edition releases.
