Grounded in my background in mechanical engineering, my art concerns itself with the ceaseless endeavour of our time: How can technology be used to enhance and evolve our analog experience of life?
Immersive cognitive paintings
Working with a self-developed, translucent canvas material, my multi-layered cognitve paintings combine traditional oil and wood with LED lighting powered by self-programmed AI sensory software to explore this question. As my compositions respond to the ephemerality of their external environments, the light they emit and reflect throws them into a constant state of flux. Upon each subsequent viewing they reveal new, personal and intertwined stories of gender, intimacy, religion, technology.
