DAAS is a muralist based in Austin, Texas. His work is focused on imagery that combines representational, cubist and abstract elements resulting in recognizable forms such as humans, animals and insects. His artwork is very colorful and lively, utilizing traditional paints and sprays.
When not painting murals; DAAS also produces canvas paintings, which focus on portraits of animals and humans. With the canvas works, he brings the same colorful and dynamic imagery from his murals into a more intimate and smaller scale. DAAS is also available for commissions based on ideas provided by the client.
DAAS creates work which is representational in nature and focuses on portraits of humans and animals. He incorporates the use of sporadic color placement to highlight focal points within the image and to create a feeling of energy and positivity. Drawing inspiration from the surroundings, size and shape of the wall; as well as the community, he produces work which fits harmoniously within the environment.
