Atau Hámos is an emerging artist from Berlin, his works have been exhibited in Tokyo, London, Taipei and Beijing among other places. His style is strongly influenced by the urban aesthetics of Berlin: unconventional, visually overloaded and constantly changing. He creates works of art and commissioned work for collectors, art enthusiasts, museums and companies.
In my artistic work I deal with many different challenges. One of my favorite challenges is to create free artistic concepts. The more freedom, the more possibilities. Every new project motivates me to grow beyond myself. Art installations are a safe space for the brave. I love to use this as an opportunity to leave the comfort zone and escape conventions.
With Tape Art by Atau, your event becomes a modern art show; whether it is an artistic route guidance, a live performance or a pop-up gallery. The medium tape enables me to give an entire event a new and individual look. The possibility to remove tape without residue is ideal for temporary installations. I also offer extensive design advice for events and exhibition stands.
Creating elements for a home or studio is something very sensitive and intimate. I am aware of the trust that someone hands my by changing their personal space and want to build something that grows from the given surrounding. Looking new and refreshing and still like it has always been there. Depending o the request, these structures can be either very minimalistic or cover a large surface, always fitting in harmonically into the place.
Getting creative together can be very connecting. I offer workshops for up to 1000 participants. Passing on my knowledge is something very special for me. I have given workshops for people of all ages and all over the world. It is also possible to create a large mural or redesign your office together with participants. Tape art does not require any prior artistic knowledge, it is simple and intuitive. The workshops can be hold in German and English.
Art in a frame is like a window that allows a limited glimpse into another world. What fascinates me is to climb through this window and think of the artwork in a 3-dimensional way. When I create a room installation, I create a work of art that the viewer can enter. The artwork changes depending on the position of the viewer. I love playing with spaces, reacting to them or consciously working against them.
I love to create work of art that is meant to be lived with and used. A space that impacts its visitors and in which you immerse yourself. A place that makes a difference and stands out, allows you to learn and get involved. Changing a room with art gives it a vibe of creating & making. By dealing intensively with the given space, I create a unique room installation that fits harmoniously into the room and strongly influences the (working) atmosphere.
Collaborating with brands and companies I find it exciting to incorporate influences into my creative process and turn a shop into a place that customers and employees look forward to go to. Design can fundamentally change a room and the people in it. I put a lot of effort into designing artistic concepts that meet the expectations of my clients. Building a visual world that conveys the DNA of a brand and meets a high artistic standard is a key component of my collaborative work.
